The original three videos from Unsuitable (Dartmouth Tonight, Glendale Road and Ship Builders) were conceived when I happened upon a website called Nova Scotia Webcams.
I reached out to the owner, Ralf, who gave me permission to use the live camera views to create videos. Is it slow tv? Whatever it is I love it, and I'm kind of obsessed now.
And now we have a live video from our show at the Carleton in May.
On Friday night, Jenny & the Tide played their first show ever at the Carleton in Halifax. We opened for the charming Ivytide and it was a memorable evening. I was, as I suspected I would be, terrified; forgot the lyrics to songs I've been singing daily for literally months kind of terrified. But you know what, there wasn't a person in that room that I didn't know personally and they were ever so kind to me. And these guys who I'm playing with exemplify grace. I wouldn't have made it without them. The songs that were good, were great. This is one of them. My new favourite from the soon to be released album :) ❤️
